Conference: ‘Medieval Seas’, 11 Bedford Square, London, November 17, 2018, 10.30-18.00

Dr Aisling Byrne, Dr David Harrap, Dr James Barratt, Dr Craig Lambert and Dr Alfred Hiatt will examine representations of the sea in literature and cartography, the development of maritime liturgies and the latest maritime projects which have aided scholars in learning more about the sea in the Middle Ages. Over lunch join Dr Rachel Moss as she discusses the new project ‘Women at Sea’ and asks ‘can we build a feminist medieval maritime?’
